Río Colorado, Argentina
The Río Colorado runs through the southern sections of Argentina. The river initiates its journey from the eastern stretches of Andes and continues to move towards the southeast direction, thus moving closer to the Atlantic Ocean. As the river leaves the surroundings of Andes, it streams along a desolate arid land and is joined by only a single tributary called the Salado, which moves through the La Pampa Province.
The Río Colorado happens to occupy a large portion between the borders of the provinces of Mendoza and Neuquen. One of the most popular rivers in the country, the Río Colorado is indeed an excellent river to raft on. With its typical mountainous course, the river is classified as a fast water body, decorated with huge boulders all along its riverbed. The rapids on the river are of varied levels, offering ample pleasure and enjoyment to all interested rafters.
The pristine waters, in its unexplored state, are simply incredible and irresistible! Besides, the fresh and clean look along with the soft curls is considered as the major factors behind attracting rafters around the world. What’s more, the river appears more interesting for its lovely lush vegetation on the riverbanks. As you move along the river, you can catch a view of a gamut of creepers, epiphytes, bushes and trees. So, enjoy the fun trip on the Río Colorado and lock up the magnificent scenic beauty in your eyes!
However, once you plan your trip on the river, remember to ask a professional rafter to accompany you, as, at certain portions, the rapids of the river turn a bit “technical” and turn out to be quite challenging!
